"To Meet", Exhibition in Ankara | June 2021

Panorama of life, Exhibition "To Meet". 15.6.2021. “Photos that speak of shapes from the world, and what is in them, and those who look at them.”

“The sky consoles the wise and the insane.” In this installation of 24 photographs (1984-2021), there are 2 lines. The line above is the horizon line. Above that line, there are the sky and the clouds that comfort us. The bottom line is the earth in front of us, the soil that keeps us busy, under which we try to take root.

In the top right photo, the red arrow mark is the same as the arrow on the wingtip in the top left. In life, the same shapes appear in very different places: the shape is the same, maybe even the color is the same, but actually they are different now.

Bottom line is the earth line that continues from left to right: the boundary between water and land, shoulders of the people, the fence of the garden, the horse running in front of the lake and the window behind the man with the pipe at the right end.

The person reading in the garden at the center of the scene actually took root just like the tree itself while reading the pages of a book which is made of wood.

Hayat panoraması, “Tanış Olmak” sergisi. 15.6.2021. “Dünyadan şekiller, ve onların içindekiler, ve onlara bakanlardan bahseden fotoğraflar.”

“Gökyüzü avutur, akıllıyı da, deliyi de.” 24 fotoğraflık bu enstalasyonda(1984-2021), 2 çizgi var. Yukardaki ufuk çizgisi, üstünde bizi teselli eden gökyüzü ve bulutlar. Alttaki çizgi önümüzde duran yeryüzü, bizi oyalayan, altında kök salmaya çalıştığımız toprak.

Sağ üstteki fotoğrafta kırmızı ok işareti, sol üstteki kanat ucundaki okla aynıdır. Hayatta, aynı şekiller çok farklı yerlerde karşımıza çıkar, şekil aynıdır, belki renk bile aynıdır ama aslında artık farklıdır.

Alt çizgi yeryüzü çizgisi: solda su toprak sınırları, insanların omuzları ve bahçenin çiti, sağda atın koştuğu göl ve pipolu adamın penceresi olarak devam eder.

Bahçede okuyan insan. Aslında ağaçtan yapılmış kitap sayfalarını okurken onun gibi kök salmış.
